Non-League Preview: Sutton United look for another cup win against Hemel Hempstead Town in FA Trophy match

Sutton United will be looking for their second cup win in a week when they visit Hemel Hempstead Town in the FA Trophy first round on Saturday.

The Us beat South Park 4 -1 in the Surrey Senior Cup second round on Tuesday – with Billy Medlock scoring all four goals – for a welcome distraction to their poor league form.

Paul Doswell’s men have only won once in their last nine league games but have been progressing well in the cup competitions having beaten Hereford United in the last round of the Trophy.

Hemel though are six places and six points above Sutton in the league table, so will also be confident of progress.

Met Police meanwhile will visit Tonbridge Angels in the Ryman Premier, where the struggling hosts, 18th in the table, have lost their last two matches.

Kingstonian will be looking for their sixth away win of the season when they face AFC Hornchurch, who have only won a single home game this campaign.

In the Ryman South, Tooting & Mitcham host high-flying Folkestone Invicta, who come into the match on the back of three consecutive wins, and Carshalton Athletic take on Walton & Hersham.

Having climbed off the foot of the table last week, Walton Casuals will be looking for their first home win of the season, when they host sixth-placed Herne Bay.

Meanwhile, in the Combined Counties Premier League, Colliers Wood United will face Knaphill away, while Raynes Park Vale host Windsor.
