Paul O’Grady will join a host of chic celebrities and dapper dogs as theyto join forces tonight for the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s annual Collars & Coats Gala Ball.
Now in its seventh year, the glamorous event features a range of celebrities including Dame Jacqueline Wilson, male model of the moment David Gandy, and Dr Christian Jessen, as well a performance by Bryan Ferry.
Guests will be welcomed by a red carpet abundant in pristine pups and handsome handlers, all ready to usher them into a night of award-winning entertainment and high fashion.
The dogs will be all breeds and sizes, and will all have had their lives turned around by the work done by Battersea, work that transforms the lives of thousands of dogs and cats each year.
These will include Blossom, an eight-year-old bulldog who was brought to Battersea once her owners could no longer care for her, the inseparable pair of Sasha the Staffie and Titch the Jack Russell.
The event will also see performances from burlesque troupe Crazy Rouge, and internationally renowned classical artist Camilla Kerslake.
