An E-fit image provided by Croydon police

Croydon police release appeal following sexual assault

Croydon police have released an e-fit image of a man they would like to speak to following a sexual assault that took place in the area in late 2021.

On 21 November 2021, a woman in her 40s was grabbed and sexually assaulted by a man while walking down Heathfield Road, according to a press release from the Met Police.

The woman then ran away from the area and called the police, prompting officers to search the location for the man. The officers were unable to locate the suspect, but believe he left in the direction of South End.

The Croydon police statement said that the man is believed to be Eastern European, approximately 5ft 6ins tall, aged in his 30s and wearing a black jacket with short cropped hair.

Anyone who recognises the man in the e-fit is asked to call police on 101 quoting CAD 559/21Nov21.
