A national disability charity is inviting runners to put their best paw forward and sign up for a Clapham fun run next month.
Livability is hosting the Rabbit Run and Bunny Bustle on April 4 to raise much-needed funds and awareness for the charity’s work with disabled and disadvantaged people.
Livability’s Events Fundraiser Officer Anna- Karien Drost explained that the Clapham Common event, now in its third year, has managed to raise more than £10,000 for the charity.
She said: “Whether it is a family seeking a more active, sporty start to their Easter weekend or a pre-marathon warm up run for more serious runners, the event definitely has something for everyone.
“Our hope is that the Rabbit Run and Bunny Bustle will continue to increase in popularity and raise much needed funds – impacting the lives of hundreds of disabled and disadvantaged people from across the country.”

The event consists of two runs – the Rabbit Run aimed at more confident runners, in which participants choose to run either the 5K or 10K.
Once registered all participants will receive their very own bunny costume to wear during the race and to keep after crossing the finishing line.
The Bunny Bustle, a more family-friendly, 2K fun run for all ages and abilities, will see participants receive a special bunny rabbit eye mask to wear during the race once registered.
Sonia, who participated last year alongside her family, said: “We really enjoyed the experience and were able to teach a valuable lesson about charity to our young children who participated.”
Daphne who also took part last year said: “It’s a lovely atmosphere because it’s small and everyone talks to each other.
“I loved the rabbit suit as it helps to break down the barriers and bring people in.
“The team made us feel so welcome – my friends and I really enjoyed it and we will be back next year with more friends!”
