LISTEN: Twickenham Donor Centre marks landmark year for plasma donations

The NHS has celebrated its first year of creating life-saving medicines with plasma taken from UK donors.

The donation process — a lot like donating blood — is simple, safe, and can be done by most healthy adults.

However, the use of domestic plasma donations in medicines was prohibited for over two decades, with the ban only being lifted last year.
