LISTEN: Ngāti Rānana – how Indigenous communities maintain their practice of culture when living abroad

As more and more young British people move to Australia and New Zealand for a few years, the reverse phenomena has been taking place for decades.

But how do Indigenous communities from these countries maintain their practice of culture when living in the UK?

The group has been running since 1958, and is a place where Māori get together to practice haka, culture and sing whilst being far away from home.

Our reporter Tara Russell, speaks to Ngāti Rānana in London.
