New event and education venue opens in Fulham

A new function venue and learning space with views of the Thames and cityscape view has opened in Fulham.

Operated and Managed by Riverstone, the Kingfisher Wharf is a space with a wildlife-friendly sedum roof that is open for hire for any kind of business, leisure and teaching purposes.

Just off the Thames Path, the Wharf consists of two spaces, the Studio and the Waterscape with the deck and a connecting footbridge over the towpath.

It caters to Riverstone residents as well as the wider community.

Greg Mace, Chief Experience Officer at Riverstone said:  “We are excited to launch the Kingfisher Wharf, which is a unique new venue on the Thames.

“As well as being used for celebrations and events, the space has been designed with the latest AV equipment to support a range of intergenerational experiences based on education and learning.”

Mace also added: “Riverstone looks forward to supporting local schools and other stakeholders for intergenerational projects across London, potentially with Kingfisher Wharf as a hub.”

The studio is intended to be used as a classroom and meeting space with a maximum capacity of 32 people.

The second space called the Waterscape with its access to the deck and live music until 11pm.

There is also a deck which acts as a break-out area, providing a charming backdrop for photographs with the Thames and cityscape views.

According to Riverstone, the venues are at discounted rates for local education authority schools.

The company plans to add a second footbridge in 2024 which will increase the venue capacity to 110 people.
