A Clapham-based radio presenter, broadcaster and DJ’s up-and-coming podcast launches its first episode on Tuesday, covering London’s bustling music industry.
Caroline Hesford, or Cazzyette by her DJ alter-ego, welcomes DJs, artists, producers and industry figures for honest conversations on their experiences, careers and realities of the music scene in podcast What’s On Your Rider?
The question What’s On Your Rider?, inspired by the requests and conditions performers make when they perform, becomes an opening point in each episode for listeners to discover the person behind each performer.
“The rider is such a brilliant way into those conversations because it gives you a glimpse of someone’s personality before they even step on stage,” Caroline said.
“From the essentials they need before a show to the routines and stories behind their careers, it creates a really unique way to discover the person behind the name.”
Prior to this podcast, Caroline hosted the Thursday Breakfast show, Cazzyette Sunrise, on Select Radio, combining music with entertainment for listeners both London and UK wide.
She has also presented breakfast shows on Vibe Radio in Watford, hosted shows on Riverside Radio, Brixton Radio and produced BBC Essex’s Introducing Show whilst DJing.
Alongside broadcast, Cazzyette is her established DJ name, performing at venues like Ministry of Sound and working across brand events and major sporting platforms.
Radio presenter and DJ Connor Dawson aka Onncor, features in the first episode, speaking of his career in construction to becoming a full-time DJ.
New episodes will feature guests from across the music and entertainment space.
