Sam Smith dominates Grammy Awards 2015 with four accolades ahead of O2 Academy Brixton gig

British soul sensation Sam Smith scooped four Grammy Awards in a glittering ceremony in the US last night.

The 22-year-old, who’s set to perform at O2 Academy Brixton gig next month, won best new artist, song of the year, best pop vocal album for In the Lonely Hour and record of the year for Stay With Me.

Sporting a punchy red trouser suit Smith thanked the man who inspired the album.

He said:  “I want to thank the man who this record is about, who I fell in love with last year.

“Thank you so much for breaking my heart because you got me four Grammys.”

Smith also performed award-winning hit Stay With Me with Mary J Blige.

Pharrell Williams, Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga and Beck were other winners on the night.
