Violent assault victim found near large pool of blood in Tulse Hill as police appeal for witnesses

The victim of a serious assault was discovered near a large pool of blood by police in Tulse Hill yesterday – detectives are appealing for witnesses.

Police responded to reports of a seriously injured man in Bannister Close, SW2 yesterday at 07:44.

The 56-year-old man was found by officers who searched the area after arriving at the scene to find a large pool of blood.

He had suffered multiple head injuries and was taken to a south London hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Lambeth CID are investigating the incidence and circumstances leading up to the assault, so far no arrests have been made.
