England v Argentina

England look to extend 10 Test win streak against in-form Argentina

England and Argentina meet at Twickenham for their final hit-out of the year, with Borthwick’s side chasing an 11th straight win and a clean sweep of 2025.

England have beaten Los Pumas twice already this year, but this is Argentina’s strongest position in a decade.

Argentina have beaten the Lions, All Blacks and Wallabies and are one win away from completing an unbeaten November for the first time.

Felipe Contepomi’s side will arrive with confidence, depth and impact off the bench, and their comeback in Scotland last weekend underlined the threat of their replacements, with Pablo Matera, Thomas Gallo and Santiago Carreras changing the match.

They sit inside the world’s top six heading into next month’s World Cup draw and have only failed to beat South Africa and England this year.

England, despite injuries, have built depth and clarity with Max Ojomoh replacing Fraser Dingwall in midfield, Henry Slade and Elliot Daly return, and Asher Opoku-Fordjour starts at tighthead for the first time against a Tier One pack.

Ford, who was named Man of the Match after scoring 13 points, including two drop-goals and a crucial late penalty in England’s 33-19 win over the All Blacks, again steers his side.

The contest will likely be decided on set-pieces, gain-line and aerial control.

England should dominate the scrum while Argentina back their breakdown and bench.

If England control the tempo, especially with Ford directing them as he did against the All Blacks, they should extend their streak. If Argentina drag the game into a fight, they have the tools to take another major scalp.
