Non-league preview: Sutton United travel to Southport as they try to emulate FA Cup success

Sutton United will look to keep their FA Cup momentum going as they take on Southport tomorrow.

Sutton qualified for the first round of the FA Cup last Saturday after a tremendous 2-1 win against National League leaders Forest Green Rovers.

United will make the trip to bottom of the table Southport hoping to seal their eighth league win of the season.

Hampton and Richmond face a National League South top of the table clash against Maidenhead United.

The Beavers will look to narrow the six-point gap between them, in third, and United, who sit top of the pile.

Kingstonian will be looking to recover their form against Harlow Town after losing their last two Ryman Premier matches.

The K’s met Harlow on the opening day of the season but succumbed to a 1-0 defeat on that occasion.

The Metropolitan Police will be looking to grab their third league win of the season away to Staines Town.

The only two wins of their league campaign so far have come away from home so they will hope that they can follow up the mid-week win against Havant and Waterlooville with another positive result.

Tooting and Mitcham, fifth in the Ryman Division One South, will travel to Sittingbourne, in 11th.

Tooting haven’t won since September 24 and have lost two of their last three league games.

Corinthian Casuals lost Tuesday night’s fixture 1-0 against South Park also leaving them without a league win since September.

Tomorrow they face Chatham Town who languish in 20th place.

Carshalton Athletic host Ramsgate tomorrow after drawing 1-1 with Molesey in mid-week.

With Tooting and Mitcham in fifth, Corinthian Casuals in sixth and Athletic in seventh all have a chance to leapfrog one another this weekend.

Meanwhile 10th placed Walton Casuals will try to bounce back from their 2-1 defeat against Lewes on Wednesday.

They travel to East Grimstead Town in search of their seventh win of the campaign.
