Run club fever may have hit London – but there’s another sport on the rise: korfball.
Korfball is a mixed-gender sport which originated in the Netherlands over a century ago.
It’s now played in over 70 countries across the world and the UK’s largest adult club, Supernova, is based in southwest London.
In its 30th year, Supernova continues to draw players of all abilities – from beginners to international athletes.
This includes several Australian internationals who are gearing up for the Beach Korfball World Cup in Lisbon next week.
South West Londoner reporter Alice Bathurst went along to a training session to find out more about the growing sport.
