Comedienne-come-cabaret starlet, Emily Davis continues her bid to make London laugh with a one-woman show at The Pheasantry, on South Kensington’s Kings Road on February 23.
Since giving up her full time role as a self-employed marketer and communications consultant, sharp witted, sweet-voiced Miss Davis is rapidly gaining a name for herself on the London cabaret circuit as a musical comedienne with a killer wit, coupled with a great voice.
Presented by legendary cabaret producer Paul L Martin, the show offers a musical-interpretation of the 31-year-old’s hilarious experiences of life in London, having grown up in culturally contrary Pembrokeshire, in Wales.
She said: “My aim is always just to make people laugh and educate them in how not to do things in London.”
Pitched as a Welsh woman’s guide on ‘how not to live your life’ in the big city, Davis uses her miss-haps and entirely relatable experiences of finding her feet in dating, travelling and working in London as the foundations of her comedic-turn.
With a set containing a collection of original songs, jokes and plenty of audience interaction, the 90minute show offers the audience a chance to experience London life through a Welsh lens.
