A gardening project taking place across the London Overground has added plant life to a once-dull-looking section of the capital’s public transport network.
Energy Garden, a charity which has been operating since 2012, has worked at stations across the London Overground network with the project aiming to bring communities together through public gardening workshops.
Having planted their first garden at Brondesbury Park in 2012, the charity now works with communities from Rectory Road to Kew Gardens, today boasting more than five hundred volunteers.
With strikes having taken place across Transport For London‘s rail systems throughout 2024, can community projects like those run by Energy Garden reignite Londoners’ faith in their city’s public transport?
