Award-winning brownie business to open flagship shop in Richmond

An award-winning Yorkshire-based brownie business is set to open its 20th shop in Richmond next  week.

Love Brownies, established in 2009, is known for its decadent award-winning brownies, each one individually handmade and executed with precision.

They have won several awards such as the Great British Food Award 2019 and Deliciously Yorkshire Award 2017.

Lee Teal, owner of Love Brownies, said: ‘‘We’re a chocolate brownie experience.

‘‘We’re a family business and I fully believe in what we have created and we are individual in what we do.’’

Lee said opening a shop in Richmond has always been something they wanted.

He said: ‘‘Do you know Richmond? It’s really cool!’’

Although there are many competing bakeries in the Richmond area, Teal believes they are different from the rest.

He said: ‘‘There’s nobody else who makes brownies like Chantal and we are always confident that when someone has one of our brownies they will come back and have another one.’’

The shop and cafe will offer a range of items from handmade chocolate and brownies in a variety of flavours including a large vegan selection.

There will also be a large selection of coffees and milkshakes.

Lee said his favourite flavour switches between raspberry and coconut but recommends starting off with their award-winning double chocolate one.

The new Love Brownies café will be located at 26 The Quadrant and will open to the public at 8am on Thursday 30th June and will be open seven days a week.

There will be loads of tasters and samples and promotional flyers on offer on opening day.
