Wandsworth Council Leader Simon Hogg leading an open forum with residents at Balham Brunch

WATCH – Wandsworth council’s face-to-face with residents at first Balham Brunch lacks young voices

Balham Brunch was Wandsworth Council’s latest initiative to hear residents’ issues face-to-face.

It took place last month at Trinity St Mary’s CofE Primary School in Balham, with locals able to have a bite out of the rain and highlight key concerns to their councillors.

Common complaints at the Balham Brunch included e-bikes littering the streets, poorly lit roads, and the lack of green spaces in the town centre.

However, the room lacked representation from young people.

There were no residents between the ages of 18-25, and only two between 18-30, leaving the concerns of Balham’s younger residents to go unheard.

Do the Balham Brunch attendees see this as an issue that needs fixing?
