Two men have been charged with supplying Class A drugs following the death of a Croydon teenager who apparently took ecstasy at a rave last weekend.

Daniel Spargo-Mabbs,16, died on Monday after becoming unconscious at a party in Hayes on Saturday night.

The teenager, who was an A-level student at Archbishop Tenison’s Church of England High School, attended an ‘illegal rave’ at an industrial site in Pump Lane.

His headteacher Richard Parrish said that the model pupil, who acheived A and A* grades in his GCSEs, would be dearly missed.

“The world is poorer without him,” he said.

“It is not normal that a bright, articulate, talented 16-year-old should be taken from us in this way.

Nicqueel Pitrora, 18, of London Road, Croydon, and Ryan Kirk, 20, of Puffin Close, Beckenham, will appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court later.

Mr Pitrora was also charged with possession of cannabis.

A third man who was arrested, aged 19, has been bailed until a date in late March, pending further investigation.
