Fancy being the next Alan Sugar? Wandsworth entrepreneurs offered chance to improve business skills

Budding south west London entrepreneurs are being offered free small business-enhancing workshops by Wandsworth Council.

The council’s partner, Enterprise Nation, has a small business network boasting more than 70,000 members and holds workshops nationwide.

The classes kick off on September 21 at Wandsworth Town Library with sessions in customer service, IT, web, finance, cash flow, and legal areas.

Subsequent sessions include information on digital skills, leader and management skills, customer service and workforce expansion.

A spokesman explained that the workshops attract a range of attendees from across the Greater London area, but they will prioritise Wandsworth residents and businesses.

He said: “There’s something there for everybody, even if someone has an idea and they’re not sure if they can take it any further.

“Sometimes they just need to speak to someone – I really do believe in the power of communicating and people just coming together.”

All sessions are free, but attendees need to book in advance.
