Murder investigation launched after fatal rush hour stabbing in Morden park

A stab victim was pronounced dead at the scene in a Morden park this morning, police are appealing for witnesses.

London Ambulance Service called police to Kendor Gardens, SW19, at 8:07am today to reports of an injured man.

The man, who was in his 20s, was found with stab wounds and attended by London’s Air Ambulance as well as the other emergency services.

Detective Chief Inspector Dave Reid said: “The stabbing occurred during the rush hour period and there would have been a number of people in the vicinity making their way to the train station.

“I am appealing for anyone who may have seen the stabbing or the events leading up to the incident to get in contact with us.”

The man’s next of kin have yet to be informed and so far no arrests have been made but officers from Homicide and Major Crime Command have launched an investigation.
