Picnic in the Park, Morden Hall Park – Morden
Did you know that Morden Hall Park has been open to the public for 80 years?
To celebrate, the National Trust is throwing a picnic, all inspired by the late owner Gilliat Hatfeild, who loved to host parties for children and make sure they had access to nature.
On Saturday June 21, locals are invited to enjoy music by the Wandle Concert Band, Merton Youth Jazz Orchestra, and Merton Youth Concert Band at the picnic amidst the roses.
Plus, there will be garden games, meditative art therapy, and other activities throughout the day.
Fulham Kicks – Mitcham, Colliers Wood and Fulham training ground
If you are looking for a way to keep your children busy over the holiday, you’re in luck.
Fulham FC Kicks offers free football sessions, qualifications and targeted support for children aged 11-18.
Based in Mitcham, New Malden, Colliers Wood and Fulham, you can get involved from all over the southwest area.
Fulham FC Kicks works to create an inclusive landscape of football. The sessions are open to all and even have girls only sessions and sessions for young refugees.

With live music, food and drink stalls and arts and crafts, Mitcham’s Sustainable Summer fair makes the perfect day out for the whole family.
This local event serves as a way to connect with your community while doing your bit for the climate.

Mitcham Carnival – Mitcham
Mitcham Carnival is back!
At Three Kings Piece, there will be live music from local artists and groups, and a DJ tent ready to keep the vibe going after the parade in the morning.
With more than100 stalls, there will be plenty of delicious street food and drink as well as local businesses selling arts and crafts.
This year’s festival is also taking place on Windrush Day, so they will be celebrating the Windrush Generation who helped rebuild Britain after the war by featuring local Caribbean businesses, community groups and performers.
