The show will run from Tuesday November 19 to Saturday November 30.
An internationally acclaimed production of West Side Story will come to the New Wimbledon Theatre this winter.
The popular production last toured the UK in 2008/9, when it sold out for a season at Sadler’s Wells, as well as playing to capacity houses across the country.
Since then, it has sold out in cities across the globe, including Sydney, Tokyo, Berlin and Madrid, and recently wowed audiences at the Chatelet Theatre in Paris over Christmas 2012.
Since its opening on Broadway in 1957, the musical has become one of the most successful stage shows of all time, with the 1961 film version winning ten Academy Awards.
Based on Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, West Side Story is set on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, and explores the rivalry between two teenage gangs, one white, the other Puerto Rican.
The production, directed and choreographed by Joey McKneely, includes hit such as Maria, Tonight, Somewhere, America and I Feel Pretty.
The show will run from Tuesday November 19 to Saturday November 30. Tickets are available from http://www.atgtickets.com/wimbledon or by phoning 0844 871 7646.
