Witnesses asked to come forward after motorcyclist killed in Stockwell following collision with car

The 36-year-old was involved in an accident with a car around 8.15am on Brixton Road, close to the junction with Southey Road.

He was pronounced dead a short while after, having been treated by the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.

The driver of the car, a man in his 60s, was stopped at the scene and although he was not arrested, he is assisting detectives from the South West Serious Collision Investigation Unit with their enquiries into the accident.

Next of kin have been informed but officers are awaiting a formal identification from the family.
