Following the assault of a 62-year-old man in Enfield, police have released a CCTV image of a man they consider connected with the incident.
The attack took place at 2pm on Friday June 26 and the 62-year-old, who was approached while sitting on a bench in Enfield Park, sustained a broken jaw.
In an appeal to the public for information, the police have released the image of a man described as white, with a tall build, short black hair and facial hair, with a black shirt and blue shorts.
Detective Inspector Allen Windsor, who is leading the investigation, said this: “Despite the best efforts to identify the man, we are now appealing to the public for further information.
”Nobody should be attacked like this. We believe this to be an isolated incident and we remain committed to identifying and bringing the perpetrator to justice – can you help?”
The police are asking anyone with information to call them on 101, or anonymously contact Crimestoppers.
