WATCH: Ukrainian festival finds home in Fulham

A Ukrainian festival called TOLOKA, which raises funds for the country, has found a home in Fulham.

TOLOKA, a one-day fundraiser celebrating Ukrainian culture, takes place every couple of months at the Support Ukraine Fulham Hub.

The festival gives Ukrainian-run small businesses the chance to promote their products, whether it’s jewellery and art, or traditional foods and drinks.

Owner of LightCraft Family, Oksana Chaiun, who sells handcrafted wooden nightlights at TOLOKA, said: “We do it to support everyone back home and to show more Ukrainian talents to the world.”

Another vendor showing support at the festival is owner of Coffee in Action, Vadym Granovskiy, who is helping to popularise the ‘Flat Red’, a Ukrainian espresso drink made with steamed pomegranate and orange juice.

He said: “The ‘Flat Red’ is really taking off, it’s started gaining international recognition.”

The live performances of Ukrainian songs at TOLOKA creates an atmosphere of solidarity underpinned by the national pride Ukrainians living in London feel.

Director of Support Ukraine, Natalia Ravlyuk, who helps to organise TOLOKA, explained: “We are trying to remind ourselves, British people, and the world, that Ukraine is defending democracy and freedom – not just for Ukraine, but for the rest of the world too, particularly Europe.”

The next TOLOKA festival is set to take place on 6 December 2025.
