Members of the LGBTQ+ community are much more likely to experience loneliness and isolation in older age.

Many who would have battled prejudices over their lifetime are then faced with the fear of being forced back into the closet when entering assisted living facilities.

Tonic Housing is confronting these issues, by providing the first LGBTQ+ specific senior living community in the UK – in Vauxhall, London.

Interest in the scheme has highlighted the gap in the market for LGBTQ+ specific older living projects and recognising the needs of this community.
