Golf could be the cure to elderly male loneliness as men over 65 continue to take up the sport.
Following the Covid-19 pandemic, social isolation and loneliness remains one of the major issues for the elderly and, in particular, older men.
A 2024 report by Age UK found that nine in 10 elderly people who are often lonely are also unhappy or depressed.
One of the ways of tackling the loneliness epidemic is through the established sport of golf.
The past-time remains popular for all ages, but it is especially prevalent amongst older men.
