Kensington Town Hall filled with vintage dresses and other clothes

WATCH: Kensington hosts London’s oldest vintage clothes fair Frock Me!

Over a thousand fashion enthusiasts descended on Frock Me!, London’s oldest vintage clothes fair, and arguably the oldest in the UK to go by that name.

Established by fashion designer and antiques dealer Matthew Adams in 1997, the fair welcomes over a hundred vendors to Kensington Town Hall each year, with some pieces on display over a century old.

The fair aims to attract a mix of extremely valuable items for sale as well as more affordable for those buyers on a budget, presenting clothes, jewellery and accessories.

Adams said: “I think that it is safe to say that mine was the very first “vintage fair” anywhere in the world.

“The word ‘vintage’ has now become ubiquitous and can be used to describe anything from a wonderful Victorian dress to a tee shirt that is two years old!”
