Brixton-based charity UpCycle has opened a new community hub as part of efforts to make cycling more accessible for low-income families.
The new space, located in Fairfax House, will host free bike repair workshops and mentoring sessions for young people, while also being available to hire for community events.
The launch is part of the charity’s broader mission to improve social mobility within the area: from bike donations to career talks, the organisation hopes to remove barriers to cycling and open up new opportunities for local families.
