Community Sponsorship is a government scheme that provides charities, faith or local groups with a safe and legal way to directly welcome refugees into the UK.
Since 2016, the government allows people to organise as a group to sponsor a refugee family.
This approach has been very successful so far in helping refugees integrate in their new home.

Alaa Khattab, a volunteer at Bermondsey Welcomes Refugees, has already welcomed a refugee family which arrived earlier this year.
