WATCH: Breathe deep: Inside Earlsfield’s hidden Salt Cave

Tucked away just off the high street, Earlsfield Salt Cave continues to treat conditions nearly two decades on from its opening as the first salt cave in the UK.

Visiting natural and artificial salt caves are common practice in places such as Eastern Europe, and have been a growing trend in the UK to treat conditions such as asthma, COPD and excema.

Adrien, the manager of Earlsfield Salt Cave, said: “Salt has an antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and mucolytic effect which can really help people.”

Earlsfield Salt Cave also has a specialist children’s room, which includes toys, teddies and books for treatment of children six months and older.
