Thornton Heath’s Krept & Konan dominate MOBO nominations with four nods

Croydon’s Krept & Konan are leading the charge in the MOBO Award nominations, having been shortlisted for four awards.

They’ve been nominated in categories including Best Album for The Long Way Home, Best Male, Best Hip Hop and Best Song.

The Thornton Heath duo have some stiff competition with their single Freak of the Week squaring up to the Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars smash hit Uptown Funk in the Best Song category.

Fellow south west Londoner Stormzy, who made grime history by becoming the first freestyle artist to enter the Top 40 earlier this month, is up against Krept & Konan in the Best Male category.

He’s also nominated in two other categories including Best Grime Act and Best Video (for Know Me From).
