The South London food bank will have a Comedy Fundraiser hosted by Armpit Comedy to raise money for the charity that provides over 27,000 meals to its people in need.
The event is going to take place at the Oasis Auditorium on the 28th February this year.
Elizabeth Mayhem MBE, Project Manager of Croydon and Lambeth food bank said: “These fund-raising events provide money not only to provide food parcels but also gives us the ability to help and advise people in crisis to break the cycle of poverty.”
The event is going to be attended by a range of different comedians, and hosted by Mark Moloney, who was a finalist in the Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian of the Year competition in 2024.

All comedians participating in the event will be performing pro bono, with Armpit Comedy Club organising all the artists and making sure the event is properly organised.
Mayhem said: “We are extremely grateful to anyone in the creative field who is able to support us at events by offering pro bono support which enables these events to be more successful and attractive to audiences.”
The food bank was first opened in 2011, named Norwood and Brixton food bank, and operates under the Trussell Trust network of franchise food banks across the UK.
The organisation also works with offering debt advice, job clubs and financial support to its people in need.
The event itself will contain headliner Eli Hart, winner of the BBC New Comedy Awards 2025 and a host of other artists from the Clapham based comedy club.

The event will also provide a raffle to raise additional funds for the important work they do, such as £100 voucher and case of six wines from Wine Fusion.
Mayhem said: “We are looking at a range of fund-raising events to help support the work of Lambeth and Croydon Foodbank.
“In these difficult times being creative and innovative in the fields of fundraising helps to ensure we can raise funds to continue to support the community we work in.
“We will also do all we can to ensure the wider community are informed about situations that cause these crisis’ and campaign for lasting change.”
