SAS cabin crew strikes over the Christmas holiday period

Scandinavian Airways cabin crew are striking over the holiday period which may affect travel to Scandinavian countries.

On December 22, 23, 24 & 26 around 130 cabin crew are striking out of Heathrow’s Terminal two over a dispute of pay which unite have said SAS are operating with ‘Grinch style behaviour’.

The strikes are expected to cause delays to SAS flights to Scandinavia over the holiday period. Unite Union member Martin West said: “Our members have been underpaid for a number of years.”

Unite says that that they tried to reach out to SAS to avert the strike but refused to chat unless strike action was stopped leaving cabin crew staff with no choice but to strike.
