The George Pub has reopened with a fresh lick of paint, enthusiastic staff and a rotisserie chicken station, promising to be a new favourite of the high street.

The pub has had a charming makeover in all departments over the summer, opening its doors on the 25 September under the care of Morgan Pub Co, solidifying its status as a new hot spot.

The Manager, Adam Sandford said: “We have brightened up the pub significantly and refitted it from the ground up with completely new flooring, bar area, seating areas, toilets and massively reworked garden space fitted with heated booths and individual screens for all the sporting action”.

There is also a fresh element to the entrance as you come through the door; an eye-catching hand painted corner, covered with incredible art work from A&K Art, a London based duo specialising in murals.

The pub have introduced a mouth-watering addition to Twickenham’s food scene Rotisserie & Co, a passion project of Richard Morgan, who was inspired by his travels in France, the home of rotisserie chicken.

They have perfected a secret blend of spices with a rich tarragon butter basting that compliments the chicken, mastering an indulgent rotisserie that they hope will be loved for generations.

Alongside the chicken are offerings of all the usual trimmings, with the potatoes being the shining star, all for just £8 (for a ¼ chicken).

Sandford shared: “The chicken, combined with our all new extensive main and lunch menus, offer something fresh, straightforward and delicious. We provide much more than just our rotisserie!

The pub is ideal for a post-work drink, a Saturday match day or a Sunday roast as the inviting atmosphere exudes family energy, conveniently positioned in the heart of Twickenham’s high street.

The pub also officially boasts the largest tap selection in all of Twickenham, with 41 taps behind the main bar.

The manager shared: “With five cask and three keg lines, there is a seriously good selection of all things beer and cider.

From lagers to bitters, sours and stouts, we’ve got something for everyone”.

The pub is split into sections, allowing for a variety of customers to enjoy their experience simultaneously, creating a welcoming and multi-faceted feel.

The pub manager said: “We believe good service makes all the difference.

“Friendly faces, good knowledge and great chat.

“It’s not just about serving the perfect pint; it’s about creating an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome, looked after and part of the community.

“Proper hospitality.”

In terms of future plans, Sandford shared: “We’re still figuring out dates but Live music is something we’re very keen to continue, promoting local bands and acts throughout the year.”

From the colourful interiors to the enticing waft of rotisserie chicken as you come through the doors, The George has brought new energy to Kings Street.
