The Salad Project’s flagship store in Victoria was the perfect place for an affordable and healthy lunch on a busy workday as opened its doors on 1 August.
Designed for fast-paced lives, this grab-and-go salad bar is ideal when you want to stop for a quick, healthy, and affordable lunch.
Salads can be pre-ordered via an app and collected from a cubby hole in store, or customers can watch their salad made right in front of them while they choose exactly what they want.
The Salad Project co-founder James Dare said: “With abundant natural light, spacious seating, and a stunning double frontage, we’re confident this store was worth the wait.
“It might just become our new favourite.”

Staff greeted me with smiles as I walked in and informed me of any food items which cost an extra £1.50, helping me understand exactly what I would pay before I got to the tills.
I queued up to the grab-and-go salad bar and got the choice of various types of leaves, toppings, meats, vegetables, and dressings.
As a fussy eater, this was great because I could pick exactly what I wanted and build my own salad only for £7.50, which comprised a bed of lettuce topped with cucumber, salmon, sweet potato, onion bits, and parmesan cheese.
The staff separate each item in the salad bowl, which gives you the choice of mixing your salad together or keeping it layered.

The salad oozed with flavour and came in a bowl the size of a dinner plate.
This massive portion made me full and satisfied after eating, making it the perfect place to stop for lunch while at work as you won’t get hungry later on in the day.
Additionally, all the salads come in take-away boxes which means they can be taken back to the office as well as eaten in the restaurant.
Despite being busy and having room to seat over 60 guests, the restaurant was quiet as most people were working on their laptops, which created a chilled environment.
Aside from the make-your-own salads, there were also The Salad Projects own ideas on the menu for customers to try.

The Salad Project aims bring community spirit to Victoria and Chelsea with a new run club beginning on 9 August in partnership with premium sportswear brand, Vuori, as well.
The new Victoria location will be followed by one opening in Southwark on 22 August, which will be their first site south of the river and will feature a custom bench installation by artist and designer Tejumola Adenuga.
The Salad Project was founded by Dare and Florian de Chezelles with a mission to provide London with the salad bars that they deserve, and their first store opened in 2021.
The company has since expanded to seven stores across the city, providing menu which offers a combination of bold flavours, top-quality ingredients, and the flexibility to create meals which suit any lifestyle.
