The female rowers of Molesey Boat Club have enjoyed a stellar year, medalling at every level of international competition from the Junior World Championships to the Paris Olympics.
Four Molesey athletes also medalled at the Paris Paralympics, breaking new ground for the hugely successful club which is one of eight High Performance Academies in the UK.
Members of the 450-strong club gathered to celebrate the success of its high-performance athletes, with Olympic bronze medallist Holly Dunford one of the numerous athletes to have a boat named in their honour.
She said: “It’s definitely really special to have a boat named after me.
“Hopefully it will go out and we’ll be able to inspire the next generation of rowers coming through, and they realise they can do the same thing if they keep cracking away!”
