AFC Wimbledon aim to topple another league leader when they travel to Wycome Wanderers

Wycombe Wanderers v AFC Wimbledon @ Adams Park

Saturday, October 18 @ 3pm

AFC Wimbledon travel to Adams Park to face high-flying Wycombe Wanderers tomorrow in search of some away form.

It will be the second time in two weeks that Wimbledon face a top-of-the-table side after meeting Bury last week and they will be hoping to record a similar shock having beaten the Shakers 3-2.

The signing of strikers Matt Tubbs and Adebayo Akinfenwa over the summer has proven to be a masterstroke by manager Neal Ardley, with the pair having scored 14 of Wimbledon’s 20 league goals.

But Wycombe have secured their number one spot by having the best defence in the league this season, only conceding eight goals.

Wimbledon have not won away from home in the league since August but will look to change all that this Saturday against a Wanderers side who will be without key centre back Aaron Pierre, who could be replaced by central midfielder Peter Murphy.

Star man: Matt Tubbs

Danger man: Peter Murphy

Last time they met: December 2014 Wimbledon won at Wycombe 3-0
