Woodrow willing Fulham toward revenge at Reading as he eyes more goals after Wolves double

Fulham v Reading @ Craven Cottage

Saturday 17th January @ 3pm

Cauley Woodrow reckons Fulham can turn the tables on Reading and get revenge when the two side’s meet at Craven Cottage tomorrow.

The Royals comfortably beat Fulham at the Madejski Stadium 3-0 in September – when Felix Magath was still in charge of the Cottagers.

Since then the German has left and Kit Symons has taken over and Fulham are now just one place and two points behind Reading in the Championship.

Woodrow scored twice in the FA Cup penalty shoot-out win against Wolves on Tuesday and is hoping for another chance to show what he can do tomorrow.

“It will be a tough game, they’re a good side,” he said .

“They beat us 3-0 earlier in the season so we want to get our own back on them.

“Hopefully, I’ll keep my place after Wolves and can find the net again.”

Fulham have lost their past three Championship matches without scoring, so Woodrow was delighted to be back on the winning side on Tuesday.

“That was our aim,” he added.

“The manager said we needed to get back to winning ways and we needed to score goals.

“While we were disappointed we conceded, to get back to winning ways was the most important thing.

“It doesn’t matter how you win it as long as you do.”

Alex Kacaniklic could return for the hosts having been recalled from loan while Reading could recall Nick Blackman and Jem Karacan to the starting line up.

Star man: Cauley Woodrow – Two goals in his last outing against Wolves puts the young striker in good form.

Danger man: Simon Cox – The Royals striker has eight league goals this season.

Last Meeting: Reading 3-0 Fulham, 13th September 2014, Championship.
