Chelsea looking to make themselves only unbeaten team in league when they face Arsenal at Stamford Bridge for London derby

Chelsea will be aiming to make themselves the only unbeaten team in the Premier League when they host Arsenal on Sunday.

The two London sides are the only teams yet to lose a game in the competition this season, with Chelsea on 16 points and Arsenal on 10.

Cesc Fabregas will have to put sentiment to one side as he faces his former club for the first time in a Chelsea shirt.

With six league assists already this season, Arsenal will want to prevent the Spaniard from linking up with man-of-the-moment Diego Costa, who has bagged eight goals in six games.

Despite hamstring problems, Costa played a full 90 minutes in Chelsea’s midweek Champions League victory over Sporting Lisbon and is expected to start on Sunday.

Jose Mourinho will take comfort in the fact that Arsene Wenger has never been able to beat him in eleven previous meetings between the pair.

Although Mourinho was not in charge of Chelsea the last time these two teams met back in March, Wenger’s side suffered a crushing 6-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge.

That game was Wenger’s 1000th as Arsenal manager and Chelsea will be looking to mar another of his milestones as he marked his 18th anniversary at the North London club on Wednesday.

The blues will aim to remain at the top of the table after picking up their fifth win out of six league games last weekend, while Arsenal will want to improve on their draw with Tottenham on Saturday.
