Harlequins renew sponsorship deals as Gloucester game approaches

Harlequins announced a two-year partnership extension with Europe’s number one nutrition brand, Maximuscle, last week.

This comes off the back of Quins announcing a five-year contract extension with global sports brand, Adidas, in February.

The new deals will see Maximuscle continue to provide the squad with nutritional support, while Adidas will continue to develop the iconic quartered shirt the Twickenham-based side sport.

On the partnership with Maximuscle, Harlequins Commercial Director Ned Willis said: “We are very pleased that the team at Maximuscle is set to remain within the Harlequins partner family.

“Our partners are integral to the club achieving its purpose and the collective focus is to put the best team possible on the pitch every match.”

Maximuscle Marketing Director, Craig Percival said: “Harlequins is one of the leading teams in the country and completely personify what Maximuscle stands for as a brand.

“Their relentless dedication to training, competing, and improving at such an elite level is just some of the reasons why we’re thrilled to be re-signing our partnership.

“We look forward to many more successful years together.”

Meanwhile, in February, Quins built on their three-year relationship with Adidas who will also provide equipment and kit to the Harlequins Ladies, 7s and future 10s as well as the junior and community programmes.

Harlequins chief executive David Ellis said: “We have had an extremely successful and impactful three-year partnership to date and there is much more for both of us to deliver from our relationship.

“Our partnership goes beyond the provision of kit and, alongside our expansion into new international markets, we will be working together very closely to drive additional value into our community and Foundation programmes at home and abroad.”

The deal ties in with the values of The Harlequins Foundation, launched in 2015, which stated its primary objective of improving the life chances of young people.

Lee Gibbons, Senior Director, Sports Marketing at Adidas UK said: “Adidas has and will continue to support players at all level and abilities with the most innovative and technologically advanced products on the market.

“Harlequins share our ambition to extend the reach of the sport to a global audience, starting in London and exploring new markets across 2017 and beyond.”

To celebrate the partnership, which first came about in 2014, Maximuscle is offering a 20% discount on its products to Harlequins supporters.
