It is the first event staged by the Asian Tour in the UK and admission is free on every single day.

With top-class action on the fairways and activities off it, the tournament offers a great value family day out.

It is one of ten top-tier events announced by LIV Golf investments and the Asian Tour which make up the all-new International Series as part of unprecedented an $300million investment in the game.

Scheduled to take place across Asia, the Middle East and Europe every year for the next decade, each event is designed to grow the game of golf worldwide and offer new pathways for emerging talent from all over the world to progress their careers.

Slaley Hotel, Spa and Golf resort is set to be the perfect destination for anyone interested in enjoying superb sport in a stunning location on what’s set to be an extended special weekend celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Below are FIVE great reasons why you should head to Slaley Hall in the coming days for this free-ticketed event…

Top class players from all around the world in one place

With a 144-strong field featuring some of the world’s top players, this is elite golf.

Former US Open champion Graeme McDowell heads a list of stars that includes Sihwan Kim, teenage ace Ratchanon “TK” Chantananuwat, Joohyung Kim, Jazz Janewattananond, Gavin Green and Scott Hend.

Other big names teeing it up are Michael Campbell, Wu Ashun, Jeev Milkha Singh and Peter Uihlein.

Asian Tour winner Steve Lewton said: “The standard almost speaks for itself. Everyone should just come and have a look and I think it will open some people’s eyes.”

Free tickets for all

Free entry for the International Series England (2-5 June) is open to all fans by simply registering at intlserieseng.seetickets.com.

Scott Hend, a 10-time winner on the Asian Tour, said: “I’ve heard nothing but good stories about the course at Slaley Hall and how difficult it can be.

“But what I’m more excited about is the people I know from Newcastle – who are quite boisterous!

“They don’t mind getting out onto the course whether it’s rain, hail or shine, and are always out there having a good time, so it’ll be good to get that support.”

Enjoy the all-round experience

A wide range of eateries will be across the course and in the tournament’s official village.

There’ll be something for every taste to enjoy while watching the action up-close!

Hend said: “Bring your money, drink some beers, sit on the grass, watch some golf!”

Take in the amazing views

Known as ‘Augusta of the North’, Slaley Hall Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort is considered one of the finest golfing destinations in the country.

Set in 1,000 acres of Northumberland moorland and forest, the venue boasts a magnificent four-star hotel and resort, with two challenging championship golf courses.

Fun for all!

The four-day tournament will be perfect for amateur golfers looking to hone – or perhaps even show off – their skills.

An interactive zone with long putt and chipping challenges as well as coaching bays will be ready for all to try their hand over the four days at Slaley Hall.

Fifteen-year-old Thai teenager Ratchanon ‘TK’ Chantananuwat, playing for the first time in Europe, said: “This is a big event this week. This is the first Asian Tour event ever to be held in the UK, so this will be a really, really cool week.”
