Siobhain McDonagh has reacted strongly to Labour’s devastating exit poll predictions.

The Labour candidate for Mitcham and Morden, who has held the seat for 22 years, took aim at party leader Jeremy Corbyn on Twitter, saying: “This is one man’s fault. His campaign, his manifesto, his leadership.”

At 22:00, the exit polls forecasted a Conservative majority of 86 seats, with a total of 368.

Labour are forecast to secure just 191, their lowest number of seats since 1935.

Croydon North’s Steve Reed also reacted.

Conservative Sutton & Cheam candidate Paul Scully was happy though.
