Westminster is home to some of the world’s most iconic landmarks and it never gets boring. At the centre of the city there are plenty of activities to do to make the most of your time in Westminster.
Visit The Elizabeth Tower
Recognised worldwide as a symbol of the city, Big Ben stands proudly in the Centre of London and no visit to the borough of Westminster is complete without seeing it in-person.
However, the tower is actually named the ‘Elizabeth Tower’ and the name ‘Big Ben’ is a nickname for the Great Bell inside!
Although tourists can not go inside the tower, you simply can’t walk away without posing for a picture in front of this iconic landmark.

The London Eye
Across the Thames from the Tower is the famous London Eye.
The London Eye (otherwise known as the Millennium Wheel) stands 135 meters tall on the south bank of the River Thames.
You can have a picnic at Jubilee Gardens and soak in the iconic view of the capital.

St James’s Park
Only a 10-minute stroll from Big Ben is the oldest royal park in the city: St James’s Park, famous for royal celebrations and home to more than 40 pelicans.
St James’s Park hosts the annual Trooping of Colour Parade, which marks the official birthday of His Majesty the King.
This year, the event takes place on Saturday June 14 and begins at 10am.
The park is also famous for its quirky tradition that has been going on for centuries – feeding the pelicans daily at around 2:30pm.
A tourist on Trip Advisor said: “London is a city with many parks and it is very beautiful, very well-maintained and in a central location between Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace. It’s worth the time to take a walk and enjoy some nature in the middle of the city. I like it!”
