The Importance of Being Earnest: The Rose Theatre

Oscar Wilde’s comedic masterpiece is being brought to life at the Rose Theatre. Prepare for laughs, songs, cucumber sandwiches and a baby found in a handbag.

 

Chess The Musical: The Rose Theatre

October 26-29 

Tickets: from £10.50

Not often the theme of musicals, Chess provides the backdrop for this romantic and political drama.

 

Odeon Kingston

New films on show at the Odeon this week include the third instalment of the spookily low-fi, horror franchise, Paranormal Activity, Spielberg’s eagerly anticipated film adaptation of Tintin and Steven Soderbergh’s thriller Contagion.

 

The Vintage-Room Fashion Fair: The Market House

Friday November 5

The Vintage-Room Fashion Fair will play host to the best of the Vintage traders in the world of fashions. Vintage clothes for both sexes, accessories, jewellery, crafts, homeware will be on show and a tea room will be serving cupcakes and more. There will also be a Vintage Beauty Parlour to recreate yesteryear’s retro looks.

 

Kingston Fireworks display : Kingsmeadow Athletics and Fitness Stadium

Friday November 4

The Kingston Round Table and Kingston Rotary club are hosting this firework night which looks sure to be full of fun and excitement. The family-based based will have music, funfair rides and food. Sparklers will not be allowed. Tickets may be bought from the site, some leisure centres, Kingston Tourist Information Centre and cost £4.00 for adults and £3.00 for children aged 5-11 in advance and £6.00 and £4.00 on the door.
