Moxon’s Fishmongers has opened on Twickenham’s King Street, making this their fourth store in the capital.
The new branch has opened in the former Sandy’s Fishmongers site and they are excited to bring their approach to fishmongering to the area.
Moxon’s general manager Louis Jenkin said: ““We were actually really fortunate coming across the Twickenham shop, It has such a neighbourhood-y feel around here.
“We’re really trying to carve our own path into the Twickenham community whilst maintaining respect for what was previously there.
“There’s definitely that responsibility to keep not only the [fishmongering] tradition going, but to also keep the people of Twickenham happy.”
Their Twickenham site will be their fourth site, joining their others in Clapham South, East Dulwich and South Kensington.
Moxon’s proudly sells freshly caught fish from the South Coast to avoid huge trawling operations and mass production seen in supermarkets.
Alongisde fresh fish, they will offer smoked fish from their Wimbledon branch, fishcakes and pies.
“Moxon’s as a company always strives to source from small operations.
“Fish is always better quality from a local fishmonger.”
With daily fresh deliveries and years of expertise, Louis guarantees that customers can rely on fresh British fish every time they buy.
Challenges are expected to occur whilst opening a new branch, but the team’s passion remains the driving force behind their success.
“It’s a very rewarding job, waking up early and pleasing all the customers with all the good stuff.
“You find yourself getting excited coming in at 6am.”
Moxon’s opened on June 30, 2026.
