Fulham charity to host celebration lunch for upcoming coronation

A Fulham-based charity is to host a lunch on the 2nd of May to celebrate the upcoming coronation of King Charles.

Fulham Good Neighbours are to have roughly 60 customers attend the coronation lunch at The Rylston pub, on Lillie Road.

The event will involve a performance from the Fulham Good Neighbours’ choir, who will be performing for their first time ever.

There will also be a performance from The Rhythm Studio, a local music school.

The event will be attended by their beneficiaries, and it will cost £1 only to attend.

Each guest will be served a three course meal, while being able to enjoy the musical performances.

The event has been funded by Fulham Broadway BID, an organisation run by small, local businesses with the aim of giving the local community a boost.

Jamie Hilton, Charity Director, said: “Massive thanks to Fulham BID for generously funding up to 80 of our members to enjoy a three-course meal at The Rylston pub.

“We are always made so welcome here!

“We are very grateful too to our partners at Rhythm Studio who have supported us in the launch of our choir this year, and whose students have performed at our community centre.

“Please be in touch if you would like to visit us at the community centre, or to volunteer.”

The coronation is due to take place from the 6th May, with events being held all across the country to mark the occasion.

Other events will also be taking place across Hammersmith and Fulham to mark the occasion, such as street parties.

Fulham Good Neighbours are a charity that aim to improve the lives of vulnerable people and provide them with a livelihood.

Founded in 1966, they have won multiple awards for their work.
