Fulham manager Martin Jol has made a rallying call to supporters to make Craven Cottage a fortress again.

Ahead of their Premier League clash against Cardiff City on Saturday, Jol sent out a message to fans to support the team in the game.

“It really helps the players when Craven Cottage is full to capacity and we want to make Craven Cottage a fortress again. That can only happen with your help,” he said.

“There are still tickets available for the Cardiff game. Hopefully you will get them and support us because we need it. We are building a fantastic team.”

Fulham have slipped into the relegation zone, having only won one of their last six home games.

Speaking after Tuesday’s 2-1 win against Everton in the league cup, their first home win since April, Jol said he was hopeful it would be the kick start the team needed.

“It’s a big relief,” he said.

“The last win against Sunderland was a long time ago so it is nice to get back to winning ways.

“We fought hard, like lions. It’s not easy to get all the players in. They have to gel together. That is probably the biggest problem.”

Jol was full of praise for his newly built team, particularly recent addition Scott Parker

“Scott Parker is a big influence. I’m happy that he is here because he did very well over the past month. He is a leader.”

When asked if Parker gave his own team-talk at half-time, for which he is known for, Jol said:

I didn’t know that. It’s nice of you to tell me so we can expect a few in the dressing room from now on!”

Fulham face Malky Mackay’s Cardiff City team lying 16th in the Premier League. Tickets for Cardiff are still available by calling 0843 208 1234 or by visiting the Ticket Office.
