Any South West Londoners looking to improve their home have the opportunity to get advice and tips from property experts at a new show this June.

The inaugural Southern Homebuilding & Renovating and Home Improvement Show will take place at Sandown Park from 28-29 June, and SWLondoner have 20 pairs of tickets to give away.

Over 150 exclusive exhibitors will be at the show, where visitors can also take part in free seminars and masterclasses delivered by a wide range of property experts.

As part of a new national educational initiative, The Department of Energy and Climate Change will be hosting seminars at the exhibition to advise visitors on how to take advantage of the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme’s sustainable energy technologies and financial benefits. Visitors can stop by the zone to find out if they qualify for a monetary incentive and access the latest information from RHI experts.

For those seeking interior and colour scheme recommendations, the Dulux Design Service Drop-in Clinic hosts professional designers who will help visitors transform their home into a beautiful property. One-on-one free consultations are available to help consumers choose the most appropriate accessories and furniture for their renovation project.

Planning permission expert, Sally Tagg, will be available at the Planning Clinic for individual 15-minute meetings to guide householders through their planning application, which can be a complicated process. Professional advice and updates on all the relevant rules and regulations will be on hand.

An advice centre will also be open to discuss plans and find solutions to any issues by visiting live theatre demonstrations.

For specialist help, homeowners can talk directly and individually with 2014’s show panel that includes: Michael Holmes (editor-in-chief, Homebuilding & Renovating magazine), Jason Orme (editor of Homebuilding & Renovating magazine and self-build expert), Sally Tagg (planning projects expert at Homebuilding & Renovating magazine), David Snell (Homebuilding & Renovating magazine’s self-build and plot finding expert), Tim Pullen (eco expert at Homebuilding & Renovating magazine), Bob Branscome (chartered surveyor and builder) and Chris Reeves (Homebuilding & Renovating magazine’s Legal Expert and chartered builder and lawyer).
