Frankie Boyle and Jason Manford announced as headline acts during Rugby World Cup 2015 in Richmond

Controversial comedian Frankie Boyle will join Jason Manford and Father Ted star Ardal O’Hanlon as headline acts at the official Fanzone during the Rugby World Cup in Richmond this autumn.

The Big Hullabaloo is a series of ticketed events on ‘non rugby’ screening days in Old Deer Park during the September/October tournament.

Frankie Boyle will bring Hurt Like You’ve Never Been Loved to the stage on September 25, a Home Nations Comedy Night including Danny Bhoy and Ardal O’Hanlon will take place on October 1 with Jason Manford – Live on October 16.

The Fanzone is anticipated to have an overall capacity of 10,000 people on ‘rugby days’.

There will be a large tent capable of seating 5,000 for the ticketed events.

There will also be big screens, stage, entertainment, high quality rides and attractions and a rugby exhibition pitch hosting matches and demonstrations.

The Fanzone will have free entry on 21 days during the tournament where rugby matches will be screened.

Richmond Council Cabinet Member for Environment, Cllr Pamela Fleming, said: “Old Deer Park will be alive with activity this autumn – with the Big Hullabaloo programme including something for everything.

“These three headline acts will bring people from all over London to our borough, and I am sure that tickets will fly!
